Holiday Cards

My friend Karin over at Altadena Hiker did a piece on Holiday Cards today. Like her, I don't often send out Holiday Cards, but there was one time I did. The year was 1994. O.J. Simpson had been tried for murder. During the trial, Judge Lance Ito had ordered prospective jurors not to look at, or listen to, or say anything related to O.J. Simpson. So I created a Halloween costume, a juror, who could neither see, hear, nor speak. I even went to the courthouse on Halloween and it made some of the papers. That year I did my one and only Holiday Card.

virg left a message on me blog that she was on her way over to your place. That was a long time ago. I think you scared her.

Oh hell's bells, I'm right here and I'm not a bit skeerd! That's hilarious Mr.E! Brought back fond memories of Judge Ito and the gang. I'll admit it right here, I was a total OJ trial groupie. Well I could be worse I guess.

And KB, I'm going on the record as saying "I don't need no damn fruitcake!"

I shared a crosswalk with Judge Ito a few weeks ago. I'm sure he's glad to be out of the spotlight.

did you meet artist John Kilduff while you were at the courthouse? He went daily and set up his easel. The press got so bored that they would interview him.

Did not meet the artist, PA. Didn't really "hang out" there. Just went that day. I was interviewed by a woman from Channel 9 or 11, and a blurb mentioning the guy in the juror costume made the SG Valley News. They got the juror's number wrong.

"Shared a crosswalk with Judge Ito" . You're such a name dropper, ME!!! Well in 1976 I think I saw Henny Youngman in the KMart in Ft. Lauderdale, so there!

You think you saw Henny Youngman in a K-Mart in Florida? Henny Youngman spottings occur in K-Marts and Walmarts all over the South.

So get this: My friend lives in the same neighborhood as Judge Ito. At 3:00 am someone knocks on my friend's door. It's Judge Ito standing there in a bathrobe complaining that his dog is barking too loud.

I saw what you wrote about Tiger's wife.
