These photos were taken during Pasadena Public Information Officer Ann Erdman's tour of city hall for several local bloggers. I especially loved hearing about the history of the building, which only cost a little more than a million dollars when it was built in the 1920s.

excellent photos, Mr. Earl. I love the way that the fleur-de-lis pops out in that photo of the chandelier.
And it was great to finally meet you!
Thanks, Ben. I don't know much about photography, but I guess I do ok. I was just looking at T. Becque's Tucson photos... she's great.
Great to meet you too, and your wife and daughter. Did you already know the other couple with the kids that you sat with at the restaurant?
Mr E, the storyteller you were in your listening mode yesterday! Listening to another fine storyteller - Ann de PIO!
I was pleasantly surprised how almost everyone from the tour followed us to CPK afterwards!
One thing I like about our Citihall is how it makes us look like pro photogs!
Great photos, Mr. Earl. I especially love the fuzzy ball shadow.
Sorry I missed the tour. I hope to see more posts about it.
Very fun and interesting afternoon!!! And lot's of good pics!!!
P: I loved that shadow too.
Kathy: I noticed that the shot of the First Baptist Church through the archway is the same as your wonderful night shot.
You're right...a little different angle and of course, the light!!!
Ah, a fellow point and clicker. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Mr. E, great photos! It was great to meet you and thanks for entertaining us with your Christmas story at lunch! Can't stop thinking of it! LOL
Be back to visit soon!
I'm happy you were able to join us. I especially like your photo of the urn's pedestal and the shadow. Very nice!
Cooooool!
Looks like someone was having a bad hair day at P-C-H, not anyone I recognize though. :)
I agree with Ben on the last photo - really good. I was sorry to miss it, but I had a book club mtg at the same time. Glad you guys had a fun time.
PS - aren't locks facsinating? It was my 1st time seeing one close up, I was just a bit late to see a boat being raised up. A model of one is such a great idea (you were a progressive 12-yr-old)...maybe something for a science museum.
I really like that last photo. Great lamp against the textured ceiling.
Well damn Mr. E,
You are working your way to a photoblog I see. The second and third photos caught my eye but they are all terrific! Whoooeeeee!

Now I see I'm late to the party. What I had said was, "Nice shots all, but especially the third--weird and interesting shapes."
Quoting yourself is quote the ego trip.
Banjo: You're always welcome at this party, late or not.
Hi there, I just saw your hilarious comment at "Altadena Hiker" and thought I'd take a look. I really like posts and photograpsh. If you don't mind, I'm going to tag along.
thanks!
